Content Writer—Entry Level
Do you have a way with words and a soft spot for small businesses? Hometown Marketing Group is growing with each day, and we are on the hunt for a talented, creative, and detail-oriented wordsmith to provide content for a multitude of digital marketing products and tools. We are a family-owned, independent, digital promotional company providing website building and managing services for over 900 websites currently online. This full-time, entry-level position may include the creation of content for Local Search, Social Media Posts, Blog Posts, Websites, GEO Domains and more! The ideal candidate possesses strong spelling, reading, writing, and critical thinking abilities and can thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of digital marketing. Use your skills to help local businesses become visible to customers that need them!
Qualifications
- Associate’s preferred (Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SEO Practices
- Knowledge of WordPress
- Knowledge of Google AdWords
- Knowledge of AP Style
- Adobe, Photoshop & InDesign Familiarity
- Strong Oral & Written Communication Skills
Job Duties: (may include but not limited to)
- Content creation for digital marketing products
- Keyword research via Google AdWords
- Editing/Proofreading
